An original Victorian antique locket, crafted in 9ct back and front gold, which was found mostly on lockets in the Victorian era to make them harder wearing. It means that the back and front of the locket are gold, but the remainder-the rims, catches, frames, loop and jump ring are not gold. It is reversible, so one side it is bloodstone and the other is banded agate, it can be worn displaying either side. It has the original inner fittings to enclose two photographs and it has a very secure fastening mechanism on the locket. It would make a very thoughtful gift for an antique jewellery lover.
