A beautiful original Victorian locket crafted in 9ct back and front gold, which was found mostly on lockets in the Victorian era to make them harder wearing. It means that the back and front of the locket are gold, but the remainder-the rims, catches, frames, loop and jump ring are not gold. The engraving on the locket is different on either side. The locket has a very secure and firm catch and closing mechanism. Inside are the original fittings to accommodate two photographs. The bail is a very sturdy and large enough to fit a variety of different chain widths. The locket is seen pictured with a gold chain which is sold separately. Please message us for further info on the chain.
