This is a very lovely opal brooch crafted in the Victorian era circa 1880. It is made from 15ct gold and features in the centre, a round fiery opal, with flecks of green, orange and pink. On either shoulder are two diamond chips set in platinum in a pretty Victorian style.

DIMENSIONS: The length of the brooch is approx 2 inches long. The opal is approx 7mm in diameter.
ERA/HALLMARK: Victorian, circa 1880. Stamped 15ct faded.
CONDITION: Very good. The pin which fastens to brooch onto fabric is not entirely straight but this is to be expected from the age and cannot be seen once its on.
